Dr. Richard G. Johnson

Dr. Johnson received his pre-medical undergraduate education at Eastern Kentucky University before he was accepted into the Southern College of Optometry for his Doctor of Optometry degree. At the same time he met his soon to be bride and associate Dr. Millie Adams Johnson in the same Optometry school. On May 25, 1990, Dr. Johnson graduated with his Doctors degree in hand and traveled across from Memphis, TN, to be married to Dr. Millie Adams one week later on June 2, 1990.

That same year, Dr. Johnson joined the practice of Dr. Millie's father, Dr. W.C. Adams, in Benson, NC. In the fall of 1991 the three found a calling to start a full service Optometry practice in the growing town of Mount Olive, NC.

About that same time as their practices were growing and three very enthusiastic doctors were looking for more ways to utilize their expertise, they opened their third primary eye care facility in Lumberton, NC. In December 2002, as growth and time changes these two doctors looked to bring the cutting edge in eye care services to their patients by acquiring the optical showroom and upgrading the optical lab facilities to offer state of the art eyewear and lenses while maintaining their 1 hour and same day services expected by today's customers.

Dr. Millie Johnson is originally from Benson, NC. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Southern College of Optometry. She has been practicing since 1989.
